We are currently looking for a talented Applications Engineer as we grow our customer base. The ideal candidate will be a degreed engineer who is “hands on” and just as comfortable up on a wing as behind a desk. The position will require working directly with customers identifying solutions to maintenance and overhaul challenges utilizing Perfect Point’s unique equipment. Customers include OEMs, MROs - both military and commercial, direct military maintenance, and direct commercial carriers. As a company, we are focused on providing solutions to difficult maintenance procedures.  We are looking for someone that can conceive of solutions and implement them in the field.

As an Applications Engineer with Perfect Point, you will support the sales team and customers with application expertise, set up systems and train at customer sites, advise customers, and work though engineering solutions with our team to deliver quality support. The position will require extensive travel within the U.S., with occasional travel to support customers in other countries.

You will also support our engineering team in research and development of new products and solutions based on Customer inputs. You will support both contract and internally funded R&D projects.

This position will be based out of our Huntington Beach headquarters reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer.  Strong preference will be given to those who have aircraft maintenance experience and extensive knowledge of processes and procedures used in the industry.

 

Requirements:

Engineering degree, Aerospace structures

Strong technical knowledge and “hand on” skills

2D and 3D CAD expertise

Clear oral and written communications

Details:

The position is full time, 40 hours per week.

We are currently looking for a talented Technical Sales and Product Support personnel as we grow our customer base. The ideal candidate will be a “hands-on” technician or supervisor with business operations and/or sales experience.   Have you ever removed a titanium fastener while working on a shop floor, modification, maintenance center? Can you identify the difference between a Composi-Lok and a Cherry-Max?  If you answered yes to either of these questions, this is the position for you.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Demonstrate technical knowledge of aviation products, Maintenance and Repair Operations (MRO), and market requirements and provide the expertise to sell in diverse markets. Support and represent corporate initiatives in specific markets, customers and applications.
  • Build Market success by identifying, developing, and defining Programs and Prospects to meet the company’s sales and growth goals.
  • Effectively represent the company to its customers, develop relationships with customers, aviation related associations and governmental agencies, support trade shows as required, and communicate with a range of management personnel including program influencer's and decision-makers across all customer functional departments.
  • Develop sales strategies and market and account plans and identify, build, and expand sales opportunities for the company's products building on our current market position.
  • Develop and implement account strategies to identify, cultivate and capture medium to long-term sales opportunities in domestic markets.
  • Develop the business cases and oversee bid and proposal activity for customer’s Requests for Proposal.
  • Effectively forecast customer orders and deliveries to support the company's manufacturing and financial planning.
  • Have a complete understanding of the organization's sales and marketing strategies, contractual policies, and technical capabilities and can effectively represent these capabilities in the marketplace
  • Develop domestic and global sales strategies in both Military and Commercial segments.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining Company sales and marketing content (e.g. case studies, whitepapers, videos, blog posts…) in collaboration with the management team.

Position reports to the General Manager on a team of a dozen other professionals in a fast-paced and creative environment, located in Surf City USA, beautiful Huntington Beach, CA.

Preferred Background
Ideal candidate holds a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent with experience in SolidWorks or equivalent. Further, you need experience in basic stress analysis, materials testing; hands-on build, machining; and wiring diagrams. Preference given to those with aerospace manufacturing and aircraft MRO or similar experience, along with MRB authority.
