Single Shot Air Punch(SSAP) Overview

Back to E-Drill Academy

Thanks for joining our new, comprehensive, E-Drill Training and Maintenance Course. In this section, we will cover the Single Shot Air Punch(SSAP), how it works, and how it is used in practice. The E-Drill cuts a circular groove right to where the head meets the stem of the fastener, the air punch is then used to sever that fracture point and drive the stem through, leaving an empty hole. Visit for more info on the air punch: https://ppedm.com/single-shot-air-punch/

As always, when actually removing the fastener consult the five-step guide on the lid of your tool-cart and the Fastener Specific Removal Instruction Booklet that was sent to you in your maintenance kit.
